There will
be NO AUGUST MEETING!
There will be a 3rd Reading
and Vote on an Amendment to the Local 85 Constitution & By-Laws,
Article XIV, Section 2, Dues and Assessments which reads: Temporary
Mechanics shall pay the difference in dues at the Union Hall when
the temporary card is issued. Such cards are only good until the
next regular meeting, regardless of when issued. Any renewal of
the Temporary Mechanic's Card must be done at the Union Meeting and
additional dues must be paid before a Temporary Mechanic's Card will be
reissued. If there is no Union Meeting the month requested, the
reissued Temporary Mechanic's Card will be picked up at the Union Hall.
Any member more than three (3) hours away from the Union Hall will be
exempt from coming to the Union Hall. No Officer or Member shall be
exempt from paying dues and assessments.

DUES
The vote for a discount on dues
if paid before the first day of the
first month of each quarter has passed. Discounts are as follows:

Mechanics - $22.00 - Discounted dues will
be $424.00

80% Dues - $18.00 - Discounted dues
will be $343.00
-
70% Dues - $16.00 - Discounted dues
will be $302.00
If you do not have a Master Agreement, IUEC Constitution &
By-Laws or Local 85 Constitution & By-Laws Book, come to the Union Hall to get
them!
The start time for the Union Meeting is
7:00 p.m. The Executive Board
Meeting will start at 6:00 p.m. as will the Probationary Meeting.

- Mileage: New Mileage Rate ($0.585 per mile) has gone into effect on July 1, 2008
- Dues:
- Mechanics - $ 446.00
- 80% Apprentice - $ 361.00
- 70%, 65%, 55% Apprentice - $ 318.00
- Reduced Dues - $ 113.00
- U of M - $ 171.00
- Probationary Apprentice - $100.00 per month
- PLEASE REMEMBER: You must call in to Local 36, Local 44 and Local 15
BEFORE you go in to that Local to do work.
- JACKS OVER 35' LONG - Please call into the Union Hall if you are installing a jack that is over 35' in length. We need to check prints to make sure they are really one piece.
